Bears and lights.

One check off the bucket list. My wife and I were in Manitoba last weekend. Near Churchill on Hudson Bay. It is an area where polar bears gather waiting for the bay waters to freeze so that they can hunt.
The bear pic….he was outside my bunk window when I woke on Sunday.
We also lucky enough that for two nights the normally cloudy skies cleared and aurora borealis was in full view.
The picture of the aurora was taken with a thoroughly braced Iphone.

About the iPhone camera. I was amazed that the photos of the aurora were as detailed and clear as they were. There was a gale blowing so getting longer exposures was hit and miss.
I also use an app that takes multiple exposures and then stacks the images to render the final image. Really needed a tripod for those. Attached is one of those. Blurry.
