T/C Silhouette Sights

Ebay has a set of silhouette sights and grips posted. The person says that the whole setup was offered by T/C to TCA members only, whatever that means. Anyway they have a interchangeable front blade and the rear sight is hard to describe, it looks like it mounts in the usual holes but is kind of off to the side or something, like I said it's hard to desribe.
    Has anyone seen or used these? Are they worth anything and do they work? How would they compare to a Ken Light setup on a 14 inch .22LR match barrel?

Several times Ebay has had "silhouette" sights, that were not!!! The T/C Silhouette sight mounts on the top,with a dime sized, numbered, elevation wheel that you can adjust with your fingers. It also has a wheel on the back side so you can adjust the width of the rear sight. The front Silhouette sight has four blades on a wheel. So you can choose the width you want. That is what my Silhouette sights look like, and I have never heard of a forearm for Silhouette. There are lots of different styles of forearms, some that lend themself to laying along side of your leg.

I saw the sights that you mention - those sights are the original "Super 14" sights, used when these barrels were introduced in the late 70's. And, having tried to use them in silhouette a LONG time ago - in my opinion they were JUNK. They cannot compare to a Ken Light or Lansing Bo-Mar set-up. They may have some collector interest - but, if you are looking for functionality - STEER CLEAR !! ----- Philip Braud
