  The University of California, Santa Barbara is screening the comic book movie "Wanakanda Forever", and their black student union demands that no whites attend.
           

     I would think there has been plenty of racism to go around, but no the black student union at UCSB, plainly wants to reintroduce
    the repugnant practice.

   So, why should there be a white, black brown, green or blue, student's union?  Should not the school rule out such race centered student unions?

  THis has been brought to a 8head by a "comic book movie"..no truth or history involved....

  Just some desperate people, seeking to find a history that does not exist..at least not in a traceable form.

   I haven't allowed comic books to influence me since I was 10 years old...and don't plan on starting now..

   i wouldn't pay 10 cents to see that movie..much less buy a ticket, so somebody else can watch a fictional story.

      What has Diamond's book to do with "Wanakanda forever"?  So one man, an ornithologist by training, writes a book explaining his
      theory on the why and how of the progression of civilization around the world, one supposition piled upon another.
 
     There are surely many more theories which are fully as valid and well researched.  One can choose from various theories, just as a
     certain college instructor chose and taught it to his gullible 9stuidents, as truth.  Surely a theory, not
   necessarily truth..

  The subject covers such an expanse of time..the difference could be as simple as the date of discovery of fire making ..or the gift of
    the opposed thumb to humans..by the secular measure.
