can anybody inform about how much this rifle is worth won it tonight for 10 dollars. all hel

To the best of my knowledge the NWTF model was a shotgun! Is yours a 25-06? If so make sure it is an SB-2 receiver. If it is an Sb-1 receiver and a 25-06 barrel do NOT fire it.

The last three numbers of the receiver serial number should match the numbers stamped on the barrel lug.

Also perhaps just the stock may have been changed!!! What makes you think it is a NWTF model? Is it stamped on the receiver or does it just have an emblem imbedded in the right side of the stock? As handirifle says be careful before you rush to any decisions and before you fire it , for safety's sake....<><.... :-)

yes it has the emblem on the stock and it does say nwtf on it. how do you think I managed to come up with nwtf if it wasn't. won it at the turkey baquet saturday night. got to pick it up today

, 5.56, The added info you just supplied that the gun was won at a NWTF banquet adds a tremendous amount of important information to the mix. No one here had any idea where you won it, fundraiser, gun club (someone could have donated something he put together from parts to the clubs auction) etc. Since you won it at a NWTF banquet it is most likely legitimate. If H&R/NEF donated it it is legit, if a member donated it as something he had obtained from a place other than H&R/NEF there could still be a problem. I now think the greatest probability is that it is OK. As long as it is a SB2 receiver and hopefully the NWTF logo is imprinted on the receiver (usually on the right side) I feel your good to go. Sometimes little bits of info which people take for granted (i.e. - you won the gun at a NWTF banquet) is VERY important to any informed conclusion or decision made as a result of info available to those trying to help.
