Hear you, but still don't buy it. Worked with a guy who gave back nine months of sick leave when he retired because he had almost never been sick. It was the right thing to do because that was the rules then. They later changed the rules so when I retired, I got paid for my sick leave. That was a good move on mgt's part and avoided many people lying so they could be on leave for months with the job going unfilled. Putting people in the position where they think they have to lie is never a good thing. Once you lie about one thing, why not about another?
