Yes, I know little about airplanes, but this seems almost unprecedented. Here is a fighter aircraft, designed in 1972 and placed in service in January 1976.
It is still a formidable fighter aircraft today. It was sold to allies, such as Israel as well.
The F15 thus far has been involved in 140 combat encounters. It's record is 140 to zero... That has to be a very
singular accomplishment..
In fact , it was an Israeli pilot who was first to prove F15 dominance over any MIG at the time.
