Glock 22

I have been carrying one as a duty weapon for about three years now.  Has several thousand rounds through it with zero hiccups.  I really like it, like it so much, I bought a 27 for when I'm not working.  If I ever leave here I'll proably buy a 22 for my "bedstand" gun.

My 22C was my first pistol, and it is still my favorite.  Great all-around, but if you want something for CCW, you may want to look at the 23 or 27, especialy since the larger mags fit no problem, and grip extensions are available to give them a better grip in the 27's case.

Only problem with mine happened a few years back: the pin that holds spring tension on the slide lock broke and fell out, and the slide would lock back after every shot- the recoil made the slide lock jump enough to catch.  I could still shoot it semi-auto if I held the slide lock down with my thumb.  I'm sure this is not a common problem.

Thanks TScott.  Good to hear!!

Garthag - Thanks.  Not too concerned about CCW with this one, although I should be!!  Had a Glock 21 and although I liked it, for other reasons I traded it on a Sig P220.  I liked it but the grip was just a tad too large for me.  Handled the 22 the other night and really liked how it felt.  I need something between my 9mm and the .45 and thought the 40 caliber would be a perfect fit.  Appreciate it.  I'll check out the 23 and 27 as well.

Thanks guys!!

I have the Glock 22. I shoot it in matches. It is light, doesn't recoil much,
is a great gun. I also have the Glock 20.  :D

I have both a Glock 22 and a Glock 27. When I bought the G22 (in 1999) I had a "RESTRICTED PISTOL PERMIT" and couldn't carry so conceal ability  wasn't an issue. In 2002 I had my permit upgraded to a "UNRESTRICTED PISTOL PERMIT" so now I can carry concealed. I bought the G27 for its  conceal ability. In New York State we have to carry our pistols "concealed at all times", there are a few exceptions like if you're hunting, on your own property or are a member of law enforcement (obviously). I really like the G27, but I love the G22. In the "warmer tee-shirt and shorts weather" I'll carry the G27, but a lot of times I'll go out of my way to carry the G22. The rest of the year (winter, spring and fall) I carry the G22. The G22 fits me perfect.

I don't know which Glock I'm going to get next. I have it down to three-
