I am all the way pro gun, but how was the Ruher number one banned?  Maybe Dumb extra extra can explain.

Well it's nothing new.
Too many people have sat on
their butts for too long thinking
that "well this doesn't effect me.  . "
( like a lot of other problems)

I guess a good many don't remember
not but a few years back that  so many
were squawking " . . Ain't nobody needs
no AR15 er no AK47 ner nunna that stuff.  ."
I can remember that even the NRA was
on a national evening news program
shooting ( either an AK or an AR) side
by side with a scoped bolt action rifle
at some watermelons in a demonstration
of "what is more deadly " or some
foolishness like that.
I'm afraid that we'll all have to get cold
and hungry before people get ready to
straighten things back out again.

   If you viewed the video provided, you may have noticed that the speaker also cannot figure out why the Ruger #1 was banned.  his guess is that since the #1 chambers for the .460 S&W, the ignorant legislators simply banned the model entirely..  Larger calibers than needed in Canada are banned..

yup its been chambered in pistol rounds. the 357 mag 44 mag 475 linebaugh 500 linebaugh and 460 for sure. All special runs but i believe all #1s are special run now.  probably more through the years. Just what your typical school shooters first choice in a gun would be.

Read that the Germans were up front about the reason for new gun laws being to keep the government being overthrown. Here they claim it is to protect the public (not the rulers). Which do you believe?

Nothing new to Canada. Being in the firearm industry since 1985, seen and read about all kinds of stupid laws, but I always thought, this one takes the cake. 1989, a Marc Lupine went into a Montreal nursing school, and killed 14 girls, and himself!(YEA)  Now, because he used a semi auto, one of the first bans on guns in Canada was enacted. When deciding what guns to ban, they put a bunch of guns on display, bought in some women's groups, political activists, whatever. Uzi, Ar-15, several other's, banned. One that didn't get banned, Ruger Mini-14. Reason- It doesn't look nasty! Give 'ya one guess what kind of gun Lupine used, and 'ya only get 1 guess!!

As I said in a different thread......maybe it's time for the firearms industry to give these areas what they want.
Canada?  You want to re-arm your police or military?  Sorry, we don't sell to areas that ban our products.

Alberta is a little late. They gave up their guns for the most part, so they have nuthin to argue with.
