phalanx, maybe you can help me on this one. Not a computer guy. Just read where our galaxy, Milky Way, will collide with another galaxy, the Andromeda galaxy. Not suppose to happen for a few million years, so I'm not to worried about it, but interesting.

It would be somewhat like a crazy looking pool table in space. The WEBB telescope has showed us this happening elsewhere. And it can be billions of years in the making. A galaxy has millions of stars in it, and exoplanets. Meaning they may be Earth like. In the Goldilocks zone, as we know , and call it. Gypsy, Mass and Gravity rule over all of it.
Even light , worm holes, black holes.

The Andromeda galaxy is moving toward our Milky Way at about 110km per second. The collision will begin in about 4 Billion years and will take about 10 billion years to complete. The resulting merger of the two spiral galaxies will be a large Elliptical. Despite their appearance, the stars in galaxies are quite far apart and the “collision” will be more like two clouds coming together.As for us on Earth, our Sun is expected to run out of fuel in about 5 billion years. It will expand to a red giant star, large enough to engulf the orbit of the Earth thus incinerating it.
