Response to my emails in the past have been extremely prompt.  I noticed that their online order form is broke.  Maybe they are working on it....Van

The Dan Wesson Direct site is a new site & has only been up a couple months.  For whatever reason that seems to be where the focus is. They haven't updated the main site for quite some time. The service level of the new management is incredible. They are sometimes hard to reach though. (Slow to return email or answer the phone) I think it's because they are working hard not because they don't care. They are good people to deal with. Last year on Thanksgiving day, the president of the company, Bob Serva, posted his CELL PHONE number on the 1911 Forum in answer to a customer there that was having a problem with a new pistol. He didn't PM the person, He posted it on the forum for everyone to see. That's customer service! (The president of Colt or S&W would never do that!)

Well im up to 4-LD calls , 7-emails & got no where yet? Guess i'll just give up & start hitting the larger local gun shows to find what I need! Just attended a medium size show N. of Seattle & everyone chuckles when you mention DW. Its to bad because I've always been pulling for them. There were some good DW buys there! Thanks for the replys JW

I think I read on the 1911 Forum that Bob (the president) was out of town last week untill today. That is his email address on the website, so he may be getting back to you soon. As far as the phone goes, it's just hit or miss, leave a message and the will call you back.

Sorry to hear about your trouble.  I have never had to wait more than 2-3 days to get any response for whatever I asked about.  I ofter call on the phone Bill Jefferys and talk shop with him about DW's guns and hunts comming up etc.  Great guy to talk to.

I hope you get it resolved.

As far as others chuckel when you mention DW.  I would say lets go to the range and then chuckel at them when you destroy there groups with your DW.  For me there is no other DAN WESSON RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI BRIAN , I agree about accuracy, but the chuckle I believe was for service/parts availability & resale value. I've had 6 DW revolvers total, but backed off shooting when my range/fishing partner went to the big fishing hole in the sky(sure hes enjoying it-with his scotch). One of the dealers in E. Wa. gave up & that was my closest source(a 5 hr drive)! I emailed again yesterday & nothing yet. I,ve tryed every # & email suggested so far?????? Just looking for some sights & a barrel, nothing to urgent! THANKS JDUB

can you post the e-mail address that you are trying to contact DW at.  Maybe mine is different than yours and that is the problem.  I am at work right now so I don't have access to it but I will check when I get home and check to see if they are the same.

Hi, well I guess its obvious what I think from previous posts here! DW is apparently not consistant in service & I don't know a business that can survive long by not providing professional service, with the exception of the U.S. Postal service! Honestly not to be negative,it appears to be the times we live in!! I definately gave DW a honest try, with no results? I finally gave up on the front sights & dabbed some paint on the old blade & that 744c is doing just fine! Happy Holidays & good luck with DW!  :D

I'm having trouble getting an answer from them on a 32-20 revolver I'm interested in.  I have tried off and on for two weeks.  I got one email where he said he would get back to me in a few days...that was over a week ago.

I'm a big DW fan and I talk them up at my silhouette club, but I'm not feeling very confident about the service level anymore.  Maybe they are just more interested in there semi-autos.

We'll see what happens.

Most of your post are from Dec. 2003. Well, it' march and I want to purchase a .22 LR silhouette revolver. I want a good one and that means freedom arms or DW. DW won't answer their phone, won't return messages or emails,Won't do anything!
My dealer says that their wholesalers don't have any and are wondering what DW's upto.
DW's website has been under construction for what seems like forever.
It all boils down to me spending 1300.00 bucks more for a FA but at least they'll be there for me when I call with any question.
