H&R/NEF sending me a new set of sights!
« on: March 13, 2004, 11:44:46 AM »
How much you want to bet they are the same POS plastic ones the rifle came with? I filled out a customer satisfaction survey a few months back, I purchased my Huntsman last March. Well, I told them about their junk sights in the survey and low and behold, Thursday I received this e-mail from them.

Thank you for taking time to complete our satisfaction survey.  Sorry, to
hear that you are having a hard time with your rear sight.  I am mailing you
a new sight assembly tomorrow.

Your suggestions have been passed along to our marketing department.

Please contact me with if you have any questions or concerns.

It would be too cool if they were the new Williams Fire-Sights, but we all know better, don't we? I guess I can dream! I eXed out the name of the CSR out of respect. I have my fingers crossed.

Hopefully they send you something a little more durable.  One big bump to the plastic sites may knock them off or break them all together.  If I didn't have a scope on my Huntsman I would probably have replaced the sites already.

Busta, where did you locate that survey?  We ALL need better sights for the Huntsman.  And a redesigned hammer.   :-)

They sent it to me about six months ago, which was six months after I bought it. I have had it a year now and I almost forgot about the survey. I am sure they will be the cheap plastic things anyways. I let them know about the hammer too, must not be going to do anything about that though. I'll let you know when and if I get them.

To bad Busta'yote, they are probably trying to get rid of the old ones they have in stock before they start using the new metal ones I have heard about. I do believe a call to CS is in order!!!....<><.... :?

i ended up getting some tru-glos for about 28(?) dollars about 4 months back. they work wonderfully and are IDENTICAL to the ones from h&r now, they just are made of metal and the fibre optic pieces are MUCH more durable.
