They are right there together. I would bet everyone of either stock has a little to a lot of the other's dna. My dna is mostly Scots but a few Irish snuck into my woodpile and I don't mind admitting it. You have to give the Irish one thing over the Scots. They know how to make drinkable whiskey and even how to spell it.
Our son inherited his mother's love of cooking which had to come from her as I detest cooking. He's preparing Irish food for all of us for Paddy's day. I told him all he had to do was boil a potato and open a loaf of bread.
