Took my brother to the "club" gunsmith
« on: March 17, 2004, 12:41:49 PM »
The Texas Regulators have sort of an un-official gunsmith up in Hearne, TX.  I've been there with my Rugers (4) and Marlins (2).  All are much better for being there.  Gunsmith does the work while you wait so only had to make two trips total--didn't have all of them when I went the first time (90 miles one way, but beautiful Texas country-side so not a problem).
Well old Slash's 66 was pretty much stock out of the box.  Being spring break we headed north and after the 'smith had spent about 45 minutes with it he gave it back to Slash.  When he cycled it the look of pure joy was something to behold.
Now neither of us wil make Evil Roy scared but having a smooth firearm sure goes a long way to making this an even more enjoyable sport/shobby/obsession/sickness (they last one is my wife taking  )

Dang CR.. don't give away too many hints.  He's the best kept secret gunsmith in the whole dang state!

Adios,
