BSA Lightning?
« on: March 18, 2004, 06:47:23 PM »
I am really thinking about buying a BSA Lightning and retiring my Gamo Hunter 220. Has anyone had any experiences with this rifle? The majority of things that I have read about them give it the highest regard but I was curious what you guys thought. Does anyone know the max range that it would take down a Magpie (I don’t like Magpie’s) at? Thanks for the help.
The 17 HMR is a hell of a round!!!

Yeah, I have one.  It's nothing more than a Supersport with a shortened barrel, fake muzzlebrake, and no sights.  And it's been said that the Lightnings are only 12ftlb guns and my gun verifies that.  Supersports are typically 14ftlb guns.  I had MUCH rather have a Supersport.
