Oops. I forgot to mention something. The military hasn't used that in a long time for its shooting teams. They use FP10 now. Some may still be using BreakFree, though.
The post on Wilson's oil and grease is absolutely correct. I use the Wilson syringes, then refill the oil syringe with FP10 when it's empty. It's superior stuff and the syringes absolutely are the best for topical application of lube on a 1911.

Oh, by the way, here's a great recipe for gun cleaning solvent from American Gunsmithing magazine. I haven't bought Hoppes #9 in years:
40 percent deodorized kerosene (costs a little more. available at good hardware stores.)
40 percent mineral spirits.
15% Marvel Mystery oil
5 percent STP oil treatment or Rislone
Effective, smells pretty good, nice color, leaves a slightly oily film. Great stuff.
