i shot it with 38 specials alittle while ago.no big boom out of her with these 38specials.shot it with open sights only too.boy i need a scope on it,the eyes arent what they once were.i cheched the serial # and it starts with a AR so that means the frame was made in 1977.the barrels arnt H@R made they were made by someone else.it looks like the 357mag barrel has something other than micro groove rifleing.it looks to be nice and deep with the lands and grooves.the shortest barrel is the 444 Marlin and its only 18 inchs long.now that one looks like it is micro groove.the wildcat barrel is like the 357mag barrel -non micro groove.like it so far

Yes, you are going to have put a scope on it so we can all see how accurate that barrel is. Wonder what brand barrel it was since it has deep rifleing. That 18'' 444 should be a great woods gun. Have fun with them jeff.
