New Remington Whelen!
« on: March 16, 2004, 02:23:08 AM »
Hi All.

I was down at the local shop this weekend and they have a special run mdl700 CDL? in 35 whelen. I don't know if it is exclusive to the gun shop or if it is a production run. I know last year they had a limited run of 7600's in the same caliber and I was too slow on the draw. Didn't happen this year though; 50 bucks deposit and delivery in August. Price was $600.
The place is Grice Gunshop in Clearfield Pa. #(814) 765-9273 if you guys are interested.

From what i read, this is a spl. run that Rem did just for Grice.  Should make a nice gun, as i've always liked the 700 actions, and now days there's lots of good bullet designs in 35 cal..

Congrads - Sound like a good buy on a good rifle!
I have a model 700 in 270 that I really like.
Do you know what the CDL stands for??

I guess CDL stands for classic delux. The rifle does have a different recoil pad; and a satin finish. Other than that it looks like the other 2 I have.
