Inquiry on Stoeger Luger .22
« on: May 07, 2004, 05:56:49 AM »
I just bought a used, but in almost-new condition, Stoeger Luger .22 for $175. I felt I got a good deal, considering the obvious craftsmanship of this pistol.
Anyone have one of these? Mine has fixed sights and a 4-1/2" barrel. I haven't fired it yet but hope to this weekend.
There was no book with it. Does it field-strip like a Luger? I have one magazine and would like to get one or two more. Any suggestions where to get a high-quality magazine?
Any experiences ---- good or bad --- with this pistol would be appreciated.

Stoeger Luger look-alike

The Stoeger Luger look alike does not operate or tear down anything like a real Luger.  It is a blow back action vs the real Luger's recoil operated action.  All the internals are completely different.

the one I had was a jam-o-matic, although quit accurate when it did go bang.

That said, $200 may be about the going market rate for one nice condition.
