pearson bow questions????
« on: March 19, 2004, 12:26:27 PM »
A co-worker has a pearson rogue bow for sale it's set a 29" pull, can these be adjusted?  I've never owned a bow but Know i will need a longer pull.  It has sights, quiver, hard case, and about 15 arrows with a bunch of field points and broadheads for $40.  How far back does the string have to go anyway?  I can pull this one back and the string is almost 2" from my chin?

Dont know much about the Pearson. The 29 inch draw will be too short if you shoot fingers. You really need to go to a pro shop and get measured for proper fit. IF by chance you are going to use a release and string loop, the 29" may work out just fine. Send Pearson an e-mail and ask them about draw length adjustment. They may also have an owners manual for that bow online.

I would find out if there is a Pearson Pro Shop in your area and take the bow in.  They should be able to tell you something about your bow and give you advice on draw length adjustability.  They can also check your draw length and inspect the bow to see if there are any maintenance issues.  Visit www.benpearson.com for a list of dealers...Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

BTW, I shoot a Pearson Spoiler Lite and I love it...

Yeah definitely hit a proshop. If the string is 2" away from your chin it will definitely be too short even with a release. My string touches the tip of my nose and anchors with a kisser button in the corner of my mouth. I am a release shooter.
