First Blood of 2004
« on: November 08, 2004, 07:55:09 AM »
Hi all,

Saturday i arrowed a nice 10 point Virginia buck at 30 yards.  i scored him at 135 1/4 gross Pope and Young with a net score of 131.  He should remain above the minimum of 125 after drying.  He has a 17 1/4 inch outside spread and good mass.  Very even rack with few deductions.  Now i am after another with the Huntsman...[/img]

I'm glad you scored a shooter buck.
I've seen 37 does and 2 bucks in my woods, but no shooters yet.
no x now!

Congrats. Been 3 tuff weekends for me. First weekend, ZERO deer. 2nd weekend TWO deer. 3rd weekend (this past Sat.) EIGHT deer. By my calculations I should see plenty of deer this Sat. :) Glad to see someone is having some luck. 125 inch P&Y. Know that is my dream. Let alone a 135 inch like yours. Once again, Congrats.

This saturday is the first day of our long long 9 day modern gun season.  I have the 357 Max ready with 180gr gas checked flat points loping along at around 1950fps. wish me luck.
