Well guy's need some input on hunting south texas hill country . might
be moving down there and just wanted to find out allittle before I go.

I dont know much about the hunting, what I've seen of it there's a lot of high fenced game ranches and there are deer blinds everywhere you look. About the only thing I'm sure of is that the ticks and chiggers down there will eat you alive. Get to the doctor's office and get vaccinated for Lyme Disease if you are gonna sit under a tree and call coyotes.

i never been coyote hunting in TX before lol just thought you might need some help let us know if you move and how it goes good luck VM

Hello guys been away from the computer for awhile looking for a job in texas , found one in la vernia driving a truck . the hunting don't look
good , it's all private owened . I still have to find a house .

Go to the Texas Parks and Wildlife site (google search) and look for the various WMA's (wildlife management areas) in Texas. These are public lands supervised by game wardens. They allow all types of hunting by lottery drawing during season and most allow varmint hunting all year long. There are plenty of coyotes near La Vernia so just ask the local ranchers if you can help them clear the varmint population.

The hill country is a hunting mecca, there are deer galore, hogs, turkeys out the wazoo, exotics of all kinds, prairie dogs in the right places, coyotes, bobcats, coons, ringtail cats, porcupines, ground squirrels and other critters. You will have to get a lease for the most part, or can hunt day or fully outfitted operations, but the hill country has some of the best and most varied hunting out there.

:? Well here I go , I found a lease , job and a house . Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I'd have to pay to hunt that is so wierd
to me . owell I did see lots of pigs , They don't even have p dogs down there .Guys that will keap me coming back to viset my dad . :wink:

the wandering boy found a computer, i was begening to think those texas fellers done gone and did something awful to trappenjoe and tied him to a
oak tree and went off to let the buzzards eat him,WELCOME HOME SON.
I guess i'm glad you found a driving job even if you are in texas, you may be the starting of a migration back to texas since all our folks came from there to start with, oh well this state is going to pot anyway. no jobs no money, guess i'll get on welfare HA HA, take care and i;ll see you later.
