Looking for info on a Model 76 Target .22

A local gun shop has a Model 76 in nice condition.  I don't know anything about this pistol.  I'm interested in anything you can tell me: reliability, accuracy, reputaion, general price ranges, etc.

The Mdl 76 is based on the Mdl 70 series. It is a single action auto, with a heavier barrel assembly and 'semi-target' sights. I almost bought a NICE one last fall, but passed on it after hearing that accuracy was 'lousy', at best for a so-called 'target pistol'.
