is the norinco M-14 clone suitable for silhouette shooting. what class would it be in?

Anything you have in a legal caliber is suitable for dipping a toe in the water to see if you think you'd like the sport. Don't buy any semiauto to use solely as a silhouette rifle, though. Get a bolt gun. This is a good intro...whatever happened to the iron sight semiauto class that was introduced a few years back? I've got a sweet 42B Ljungman that needs exercise.

The military semi-auto class is still alive.
Jerry Boydstun shot 15/40 with an M1A and military match ammo at Fort Wolters, TX, last Sunday in surface winds around 20-25...
