Is IMR 700x a good powder for reloads for crow hunting!

My freind had a 12 pd keg of 700x and sold it to me for 115.00 i had been using Clays powder and i thought this was a good buy for 12 pds keg he keep it inside his house in the closet and i look at the price for 12 pds of Clay + haveing it shipp i think i got a good deal on the 700x i will be using it for crow and a little of quail hunting If any body out there uses or had tryed the 700x i will be using it in my 12ga PLEASE let me know what you think about it i will take any help thanks VM

I've been using 700X since 1970 or so.  Mainly for 12 Gauge trap and skeet as I use a 20 Gauge for Upland and the only Hull that I know you can use 700X in is the Federal in 20 Gauge.  Unfortunately, I never get any Federal empties so...

You can use it in Winchester AAs up to 1-1/4 oz. loads, Remington 1-1/8 oz loads, Peters 1-1/8 oz. loads,Fiocchi 1-1/8 oz. loads, Federal 1-1/8 oz loads, and Activ 1-1/8 oz. loads.

Very versatile, fairly clean burning, economical and the patterns I get are outstanding.

Hi ka6otom i use Activ hulls i used to have 2 40 gal drums of once fired hulls from a sporting clay place when you could buy Activ shells the place safed me some hulls and i am down to 1 40 gal drum i gave a bunch of them to to my friends i stuck enuff back to do me for a long time and i use to shoot sproting clay But i started having to work more and didnt get to go to any shoots so i sold my over and under  and i have a bunch of AA hulls too so i load the Activ hulls up with a 1 1/8 oz loads for crow hunting i just shot a little of the 700x powder But i think i am going to like it when i first started reloading i started using REDDOT powder then went to CLAYS for YRS and now to 700x 12 pds will do me a long time VM
