Sounds like that life sentence could be as short as 7 1/2 years.

What does ‘life in prison’ actually mean? Can’t they come up with a better phrase? One that means what the sentence really turns out to be? Maybe…a time out?

  Yes, it seems "life in prison', has come to mean "a few years or more."
