The article you linked says the bill still have to be passed by the Michigan House, has there been an update?

From the description in the link posted, the bill seems almost like the Oregon bill passed in November. Not a good deal but but hung up in the courts I think. I suspect wherever passed they will end up in the courts too. So probably just a way to spend 2A supporter's $. In Oregon, new bill just passed included the same old stuff+ a provision prohibiting court challenges anywhere except the country where it is still hung up in the courts. Doesn't seem legal but who knows.

I don't have an update, but it is an effort by a governor who doesn't match her state, jamming through distasteul, autocratic laws..juist as New York and Oregon did.
They will have to be run through the court system and eventually thrown out.

We will see more states facing an identical challenge...the lefties seem to have started a program of doing the same wherever they can.

Two major and fairly recent changes in American jurisprudence:
1- you will have your time in court to prove your innocence, after a few years in pre-trial confinement.
2 - a law is only unconstitutional when its been challenged: first you found a Judge willing to hear the case, and after some rejections, appeals, etc. it finally makes it up to SCOTUS, and they're willing to hear the case, and then determine its unconstitutional. So when you're broke, out of work, your family has left you, your business has collapsed, you'll have the nice warm fuzzy of knowing that it was illegal all along. But it will take a few years to get there.
