Loaded some of these 17 round magazines this morning and decided that after I finished work on my corral I was gonna wring it out.
Well, back in the day when I was teaching I trained officers on "the double tap" when the 9mm started being used, so I figured that would be a good place to start.
My new EDC carry is the Sig P365X Macro Comp. Shooting at about 7 yards at a 3" circle, I was immediately able to put 2 rounds in or close to the circle, with the shot spread on the double tap 2" or less. With the compensated slide which is claimed to eliminate 17% of the muzzle flip, and an excellent trigger, the pistols accuracy was excellent.
All double taps started from a ready pistol position, and at least one of the the rounds went into the 3" circle with the second round staying within 2" or less.
While not a big fan of the 9mm, this pistol is an excellent fighting pistol, with the double taps being fired in one second, or less with remarkable accuracy shooting Gold Dot 115 grain HPs.
I'm very pleased, and would if necessary, bet my life on this pistol in a fight. It points very well for my style of shooting not using the sights. I don't feel like I wasted my money on this expensive little pistol.
