Yeah still remembering after 159 yaers
« on: April 30, 2021, 10:32:13 AM »
When I visited my son in 2003 in ND I made it a mission to go down to TX. Down there I was able to identify those with a "grudge" with an accuracy of 7/10 just by watching them and reading their bodylanguage not that I am some kind of a shrink but because there are much in common betwix a Texan and a Boor.I have talked to them and asked some questions...

Suppose we had a simular north south war here in South Africa around the 1900's but nothing about slaves, but gold. During this 4 year encounter 37 000 women and children died in British consentationcamps. When  more than 350 000 Poms could not persuade the 35 000 Boors wich in the last year shrank to 19 000 they start another war on women and children.

The other 16000 Boors became Handsuppers( they quit because the recon it was sueside with the women and children dieing in the camps) and joiners (they actually joined the poms and became traitors) The long and short of this is that after 120 years these trators are still remembered by there familynames and some still identified by their ancestors actions)

Yet with current political conditions in South Africa we conservative citizens were called names such as "retarded" yet after 25 years of the New South Africa they want as all to be Africaners(not Africans) wich ment we speak Africaans(sort of Dutch) and are the offspring of the Boors yet I'll rather be a Boor and bear the hatred of the African(more than 100 000 european farmers have been  murdered since full democracy) than to be insulted and called an Africaaner.

Suppose the Southeners would comprehend this a bit better. It is not about race, language or a bloodgroup. It is how we go around our daily chores, how we size the lay of the land, how we look at the future. Simplified, the  Southener and the Boor is a way of living.

I used to want to go there and hunt, but I
understand a lot of places are dangerous
to go to.  I worked with a man whose family
had a large farm around SA somewhere for
many generations and the government
took it from him. Now it's just a desert
instead of a thriving farm
