41 Caliber, 250gr Jacketed, Flat Point bullets
« on: August 23, 2006, 07:29:14 AM »
Joe Cullison's Outlaw Bullets is proud to announce my first bullet available for sale.
The bullet is a 41 caliber, .410 diameter, 250gr, jacketed, flat point bullet.
The bullet has a 61% meplat for a devastating wound channel while maintaining good accuracy out to 200 yards or better.
The jacket is a .015 thickness and is not scored. The core is pure lead and every bullet is hand swaged. Weights vary by +/- .5gr with most falling well under that range.
The bullets are double cannelured to allow for seating at the SAAMI Length of 1.590 or at a length of 1.690. The 1.690 will fit in a Smith, Ruger or Freedom cylinder and allows for an additional .100 of powder.
I have some guys using these in their 40 caliber Black Powder cartridge rifles (BPCR) in 40-65 , 40-70 , and 40-82 . They are getting fantastic results in their .408 and .409 bores. And, of course, they are awesome in the 41 Mag.
The bullets are currently available for sale for $25 per box (100 count).
Shipping will be $8 for one box or $8 for up to 17 boxes.
Please contact Joe at

Thanks
Joe

Wow!  I just logged on and I was going to go to reloading and ask if anyone besides Hawk makes a heavy jacketed 41 mag bullet.  Can  you show a picture?  Do they feed in a Marlin?  I have 3 revolvers and one Marlin.  I goobered up the microgrooves on the Marlin with lead the other day and got to thinking about jacketed bullets.

Have any recommended load data to include?

If they'll feed in the Marlin I'd give yours a try.

I was shooting these this weekend in my Marlin 41 mag and they feed great at the 1.690 OACL. They shot well on the first try at load development with groups running from a little under 2" to right around 4" at 100 yards. No velocity data but it should really thump whatever it hits.
