I haven't paid much attention to any professional sport in quite a few years. But with all the political involvement that these players get into, hard not to see it in the news. When Kapernick was being paraded around a couple years ago, I did a little search. I'm not sure why any NFL team would want him. If you look at his record, and his ability, he really isn't that good. Maybe, a second string Q-Back if the team can't find anybody else. Not much there.
