I'm definitely NOT a 1911 guy and this is one S&W that does NOTHING for me. They do have another even newer one I'm still waiting to hear more on that might interest me. Can't recall what the name of it is but it has a new/different grip and 15 round capacity I think.

actually it doesnt do much for me. I dont have strength problems pulling the slide on a regular shield and i detest safetys on defense guns. Its pretty rare for me anymore to carry a 1911. Once in a great while i carry my little springfield emp 40 just because its so dammed good looking but it has a saftey and is as heavy as my alloy frame full sized 1911s. Cant say never but i doubt ill ever buy a new 1911 again.
