I saw a concern about slam-fires in a previous post,
I have fired factory ammo with standard primers
in all of my semi-auto milsurps
and have never had a slam-fire. I have had some punctured
primers though.
I have had several different semi-auto rimfires go
full-auto for a few rounds due to slam fires though.

Thanks I've been going crazy trying to find CCI #34 primers by the 1,000 and they only have 5,000 for $93. I gave some of my 30-06 reloads with magnum primers for his garand and he shot the whole box without a hitch too last year. I guess I'll just try some with large rifle primers which brand do you use in your semi's? BigBill

Thanks Jack these are suppose to be the thicker wall military type primers that will work with floating firing pins in semi auto's. BigBill

I use them and they work as advertised. It would be wise to start at your starting load if you want to use them with an existing recipe. I believe they are supposed to burn hotter for use in frosty climates.
