Just got back a little while ago
from medical lab, blood draw,
urine, etc.
Today was something new that
kinda surprised me.
The lab technician handed me
a gallon zip lock hazardous waste
bag with gloves and the usual
pee jar and two big foil packaged
wipe doo dads. Tells me to go
to the little room and put the gloves
on and wipe my spigot off with
the regular wipe, then start a
stream and stop and wipe off my
spigot with the alcohol wipe and
collect a specimen and seal the
jar and put everything in the haz
mat zip lock and turn it in.
Seems that some people new
to the area are bringing a bunch
of nasty STD's with them like
baggage, and the extra precautions
are now standard for the time being.
My grandparents would be amazed
and astounded at the state of the
nation we've allowed it to sink to
