I saw this thread when looking at other from this site , which speaks of stuff not seen on MotorTrend type sites, and had a look-see.
It is interesting as it applies any internal combustion engine, but I got a look at the intake ports of the old Rolls Royce/Bentley V-8, a lot bigger and morre oddly shaped than I expected.

Take this engine's fate as a lesson to take a bit more caution when you drive through that deep puddle. It could save you from a big headache.
