  I heard a Christian woman of my acquaintance say, she is considering participating in Yoga classes.. Yoga is a trap..

  I will make a point of speaking with her.

There's a good many in this area
that are boo-hooing about the
terrorists getting trounced by
the IDF, and actually saying they're
glad that so many Israelis have been
slaughtered

Shame people that attend a church
don't receive any proper learning about
the only places where you can go when
you die, and about the single way to
get there
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

I thought you did not want to discuss religion? Do a quick search with your question and you will get your answer.

Lloyd;
   Yoga is derived from yoga, and in fact is a form of yoga prayer.  The trem yoga in Sanscrit,  Hindu language..means "Yoke" or "joined with";
    apparently meaning being yoked to or joined with the roughly 330 million Hindu gods.

  What are the two meanings of word yoga?
∎ The word “yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit word. “yuj” which means “to yoke”, or “to unify”. ∎ In a larger sense it refers to the integration of. personality, and is the method of achieving “union. within, union without, and union with the ultimate ground.”

  It is presented here as a harmless, system of exercises and self-improvement...but it is a Trojan horse for Christians.

there's a christian answer and proves my reply about not discussing on here. maybe you hit it on the head though. if you want to learn about religion do it on a religious site. not on an outdoors forum

Maybe for the weak minded. If a person of strong faith involves themself in a Yoga exersize class there is little or no danger.

One can perform Yogas and be in prayer or talking to Jesus; Yoga does not require bowing to some other deity.

If a particular one does, look else where.

If I remember correctly, some or all of the positional poses or stretches are honoring some god or another. So in this instance you can believe what you want even if your wrong. BTW I realize yogaster’s deny this. Butt, if it acts like a dog, barks like a dog and looks like a dog. It’s a dog...
