Mysterious Encounters
« on: February 05, 2004, 10:17:41 AM »
Hey guy`s :D
I don`t know how many watched the show last night on the OLN channel of Mysterious Encounters, but it was pretty decent this time. They filmed in southeastern Okla, and one of the investigators was a guy named Roger Roberts, which him and I use to ride Harleys, a long time ago. Didnt know what happened to him till all of a sudden their he was on T.V.  :-D  :-D , anyhow they brought out their usually toys to play with and they did get a movie picture of one standing not far from them and got the shinning red eyes from the creature and part of a sillotte, against a tree. It aired last night Feb 4.

This is the first one i missed watching I was just too tired and went to bed early damm I missed a good one?? I'll try to catch it on the repeat.  I'm sure they are going to hit pay dirt sometime and see one they have been hearing them but not seeing them.  The last show they played a recording of a roar and got a roar in return and at the same time they had a "where's the toilet paper look on their faces" when they heard it. Now don't they think their going to see one??  Did they look scared when this happened wenesdaynite?                                    BigBill

Hi Bigbill, :D
Yeah, they looked alittle surprized, and worried, like where am I going to run to for protection :-D . But this is the first one that auctually showed something. So finally, it`s starting to get better after all. The only thing I didn`t like, was when the segment started out. the blonde says, (were going to Okla, for a bigfoot hunt? ) more or less it was sort of a slam, like bigfoot is only found in the North or something.  :-D .
But after seeing someting and filming it, ( it just stood there and stared at them, with glowing eyes, as they shined their lights on it, and you could see some of the form of it), they didn`t try to approach it. Maybe the better part of valor, but with everybody armed to the teeth, you would have thought someone would have walked over there about 16ft away and said hi. :-D
The guy Roger Roberts, has been down there investigating for quit a while and I personally know him, and know the people that the film crew was on their property.
It was a very good show for all of you guys that missed it, but like Bigbill said, it will repeat I think Saturday night.
see ya later

Bulletmaker with stories of them snapping off 8" to 10" trees I wouldn't walk up on one either thier way beyond my power even when I was loggin fulltime.  Its hard to believe they have that much power to just snap trees that size.                                                      BigBill

MYSTERIOUS ENCOUNTERS,
« Reply #4 on: April 13, 2004, 08:22:33 PM »
I was on that show. The one called "The Caddo Creature". Both me and a friend Charlie DeVore were interviewed by Ms, Williams. Charlie was the older man in the boat with Ms, Williams. I was the big lug in the olive shirt saying "no animal would act like that" :-D  They interviewed me for about two hours and only used three sound bites of it all.  :x  So much for my 15 minutes of fame!  :) Hey I did get a nice pic of me and her on my porch though! She is a cute one, the cameras don't do her justice!    They were good people, and she was a real lady. They were going to Oaklahoma right after they finished up here. That was a good show! You know the whole bunch do not carry firearms? I could not belive it!  All of them were anti-gun.  I guess its a showbiz thing    She is for real though, she isn't some actress. She is dead serous when it comes to this thing. She did tell me that the producers try to build the drama up though. I guess you cant have a boring show and stay on the air. Needless to say there is a lot of activity here in the Sabine River basin.

No one looks good with a camera looking up their nose like they do on that show with the extreme close ups. They need to flash "NOSTRIL CAM" at the bottom of the screen when they do that to alert the audience that they may experience queeziness.

In one episode, one of their guest experts got got confused:

"Now, here in this footage we see the cave we think the creature hides in. As, you can see it looks quite dank and forbidding."

[camera zooms out]

"Oh wait, that's just this woman's nostril."

:)  :)  :-D  That was my point exactly! The close ups are Too close!
We spent two days and nights on Caddo lake with these folks. It was fun, and we had a great time.  She is really a great person. When I was first contacted I figured they would just come and be all condescending and make us look foolish. If it had not been for Charles De Vore I would never talked to them to start with.

They have some great equipment, the floatagraph blimp is fickle though they only got about 4 hours use out of it though. The cameras really pull the batterys down fast. The ultralight was only up for about an hour, the wind was to high for that.

Autumn, is a tuff girl though, two days in the swamp and not one complaint out of her.

Yes she is single. Smart funny and not afraid of the woods!  Needless to say my wife was watchin me like a hawk!     :)  :-D
The crew from her show were good folks, the producer was a butt monkey though! Guess it's his job! Just your stereo typical smart mouth yankee.
She is from Oregon, grew up in the big woods up there. Had her first encounter when she was four playing in the woods by her home with her mom.  She has a web site, Oregon Bigfoot .com I think.
I did get to spend some time with her, she is dead seroius about her rescearch into this thing.

matlock12c,
I believe you are wrong. According to her website she is married. If you click the link below it will take you to the "about us" link at the bottom of her home page. You will see she talks about her husband "Bob"

Go to the sound recordings on this site there awesome and like i said nothing on this earth sounds like this!!!!!                   BigBill

Read the recent reports too.  I have something that follows me everytime I leave my camp and walk up the old loggin/access road.  While I scan up the mountain with my scope to see if anything is there nothing shows up.  There are no other people there besides me its just too far from everything to walk.  The only time I see others around me its deer rifle season.  My son and me heard it one night and my neighbors kids in the dark when comming out of their deer stands have heard it also its a bone rattling scream type roar that I will never forget.  Besides the banging of rocks together at about 1 or 2am waking me up.  And hearing some sort of gibberish language in the middle of the night near my camp  while I never looked out in time to see it.  It also seems everytime I fry bacon the crap hits the fan that night or soon after like when we sit down to eat.  I hope to see what it is this summer.

She was in the process of a divorce when me and Charlie met her.    The site was her ex hubbys baby. So she said to me. I do know she was real close to one of the guy's on the show. :(   I asked if it was her hubby and she said it was her boyfriend for "now"   ...  Maybe they reconciled ? Heck I don't know.

I just went to the site and looked, No bob mentioned in "About us" I seen. Old Bob is mentioned in the photo journal though.

matlock12c,

Well, divorce is a very common practice these days. I didn't mean to come across badly if I did. Just didn't want anyone to get there hopes up in case she was taken.

If she's looking for a large, hairy, ape-like creature in the woods, I'll be out there this Saturday.
