It happened in Scotland, UK..... you know, where ordinary, every day cops are not allowed to carry real guns !

Still, there is no logical reason (IMO) why any cop should have to flee one unnecessary step, from a crazed, chainsaw weilding basket case
Suppose this box-of-rocks had started his hacking in a nursig home, or a day care..where victims could not flee ! What could a good cop do ?
In the UK, only a select few cops are allowed to carry guns...and if something like this happens..they arte only 10 or 15 minutes away..
..But then of course, if the cop were to shoot the zoomie..he/she may be charged with murder....
