About $2.99 here. However, just read this morning that there is a fuel shortage coming. The Arabs said it was coming, and so did Exxon. Not much drilling in the last 3-1/2 years, and everyone knows why. Higher fuel costs coupled with high inflation, and unbridled Federal spending, printing worthless money to pay for the spending.
The only way out is Trump. Otherwise, we are headed to another Great Recession.
Grow your own food, slow down to conserve fuel. If I go a little less than 80 on the interstate with my car I get about 26 mpg. If I go 65 or less, I get 30-32 mpg. That helps even if it is only 1.23%. We started running errands by combining a lot of stops in one trip. We also have food and other items delivered from Sam's, Walmart, and Amazon.
I have built a terrace wall on the side of my lot, and have a 16' x 42' area now filled with topsoil to have a garden, either later this fall, or a winter garden (you can in the deep south), like onions, collards, turnips, beats, radishes, and such. If I plan it right, I can get 4 seasons of food. However, dry summers and fall will require watering.
I will try to supplement the garden by hunting and fishing, If I could only get my wife to eat wild game. I do mix cheap hamburger with deer burger to use in some food such as spaghetti, taco's, and such or make some BBQ.
Anyway do what you can, and get out of debt. Remember, at the World Economic Forum, they said people would own nothing and be happy. Sounds like Facism to me. Facism, like NAZI Germany allowed capitalism, but a lot of government controls. Kind of like China today. Pure Communism, no one owns anything, it is all owned by the Dictatorship of the Proletariant so the wealth can be spread around equally to all. Marx never factored in lazy and unproductive workers, which leads to the hard workers doing less because they get the same thing. It spirals down, like Soviet Russia. China, with the aid of Clinton in 1998, adapted Capitalism with one party rule thus Facism to create a potential monster like NAZI Germany.
Ok, I went off topic again.
