Just took a walk back thru time
« on: December 28, 2024, 11:19:04 AM »
I just took a long walk back in time. I was looking for a post I made many years ago on the original GBO forums. It should be here as well but I wasn't able to find it. It was a night when I sat on my front porch and saw a genuine UFO.

It clearly was flying and I sure couldn't ID what the heck it was. I've forgotten the details mostly and sure would like to find it again.

I looked thru all pages of the old forum that used to be so active here called:

Strange or Unusual Experiences In The Outdoors it's at:

https://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/index.php?board=109.0

Lots of good interesting stories there. I even found some of my stories posted to the old Campfire Tales section we used to have on he original GBO Home Page. I thought those stories might be lost forever but found them and made them sticky posts.

I ran across one by Land Owner where he had gotten seriously burned and where he told the how and lessons learned from it. I had honestly forgotten he was so badly burned, I bet Richard hasn't forgotten tho.

You guys should spend a few minutes or a few hours if ya like looking over those strange and unusual stories from the early days of the site. Mostly they were from the 2003 to 2006 time frame. I'm sure some will remember the names of long gone members, many gone from this mortal coil and some just no longer on this site.

Yes Sir...remember that I do.

I have spent some time in the archives. It is a wonderful remembrance.

I have posted all along that every thread, every post we personally make is a tiny bit of our soul left here for posterity. Go back and read them. You will get a sense of your own youth and the story line of your life from the dated materials you posted on GBO.

Some posts that I have made have had a long standing implication useful across multiple Forums and sites. So I copy and paste them from GBO to other forums.
