Offered as "innovative French army officer's revolver" in Manufrance catalog, this 11mm 1873 revolver was designed by the Belgian gunsmith Alexandre Fagnus, taking inspiration from the Chamelot-Delvigne 1873.
Amédée Maquaire, a Parisian merchant, proposed it in 1887 to Versailles armament permanent commission and ensured part of its marketing to French officers.
Manufactured in Liège, Belgium, this beautiful revolver of excellent construction brought the following improvements compared to the Chamelot-Delvigne 1873 design.
