sad to admit
« on: September 29, 2021, 01:11:37 AM »
went shooting yesterday and took a 44 mag and a 45 colt blackhawk out. First time in about 3 years ive shot either gun. Funny how guns go for me. One year im into single actions the next ar15s the next bolt guns and the next black handguns ect ect. That old 4 5/8s 44mag blackhawk rarely used to go a week without being shot.

There may be something in having too many guns.
I just bought two new rifles for myself and the two that I used to shoot have been pushed to the corner of the safe.
It happens.

15 years ago I was shooting often, two years ago I shot for the first time in almost ten years as the neighbor came over and asked me to go shooting with him.
Of course the gun club raised annual fee from 40 bucks to 100 bucks. >:(

I have a couple dozen guns of various types and calibers.. but now days I find myself going more often to rimfires, in both long and short guns..

Cost was $60 to shoot 357 at the range so I drove to my hunting spot and shot with the kids before deer season. $15 in fuel, $45 savings :). I love when an old thread is resurrected.

There used to be a Lot of gravel pits around here, where when I was young we could go shoot at (or do dirt biking) with no problems.
 They are all gone now.

bob even my back yard is getting sketchy. couple new neighbors that i know dont care for it. i do have enough space between us that its legal but if i have alot of shooting to do i have a nice range i built about 4 miles from here buy an excavating/cement batch plant. what sucks is it seems half the time i shoot there i find i need a tool or forgot something at home.

My recreational acreaage is about 4 miles from home.  I have a couple gravel pits closer than that, where you may find me sighting in my guns.
