well not from outside. did some mig welding yesterday and instead of my helmet i used my auto darkening glasses. didnt think id be at it long but one thing lead to another and i got a good dose of flash burn. dont know why i welded with them at all. i use them about exclusively for oxy/ace cutting. live and learn i guess. comfortable sometimes lags way behind intelligent.
