Beaver line
« Reply #2 on: March 25, 2004, 09:05:44 AM »
The beaver line went to pot today.  LOL.  Caught zero out of 5 sets, yet I haven't moved any of them and out of the 4 setting locations I have caught 9 beaver in 3 days so I may be thinning them out a little bit.  Yesterday I caught a 10, 23, and a 30lb beavers.  The 10 pounder is crazy small, with its back feet being about equal to a raccoons hind foot.

Things quickly livened up when checking the trotlines however.  Caught some nice cats, but the funnest was a 28lb buffalo carp in about chest deep water.  He nearly beat me to death afore I could get him off the line and onto stringer.  I think he will be used for making fish oil.

A little about me

My name is Steve Timmons, and I come from central Kansas.  17 years old, and I started trapping when 14.  Mainly target water critters, but caught my first 11 coyotes this season.  Also my first badger.

A picture of me and a skunk I caught.

lol, that certainly isn't.  Was just saying I got my first badger this year in a coyote set.  That was just a skunk I caught in neighbors front yard for em, cause it was living under their porch.
