i'm thinking of glassbeding my H&R. does any body else?? :?  :?  :?  my reason is to get the forend tight and to weather proof it . i will use Brownells Glas-Bed. has any body else done a break single gun????????

I've glass bedded bolt actions and Ruger #1's, but I have never bedded a break single shot.  I can't imagine that it would do anything but help the gun shoot better, and it would weather-proof the forend.  That should be an easy bedding job.  If you do it let us know how it goes.

I tried that on an H&R 158 in .30-30 I had, but it didn't seem to make any difference.  It still sprayed out a 6" pattern.  I never could get that thing to settle down, though.  Tried various sights, tried various loads, etc.  I finally sold it.  But the NEFs might be a different story.  My .30-06 put them in 1.8" at 100 yards with a peep rear and blade front sights.  Before my eyes got old on me... :(
