It looks good.  You print off 3 targets from their website, shoot the match, and mail in the targets.  They must be recieved by May 15th I think.  Here is the link if anyone is interested:

Hmm.  I might try this out with my K31.  I've got a Swede m96 that shoots really well too, but it's sporterized w/ a scope so I'll leave it out of this one.

I was trying to decide wether to use my 03A3 or my M48A, and I couldn't.....so I think I might try both.  I think the 03A3 is more accurate, but we'll see, I'll submit which ever I do better with.

Sounds like fun. My P-14 and 1891 Mauser
will be my choices but they are in storage
so I'll have to get some grease off first.

well MGMorden you can do what i'm going to do.if you take the scope of the K31 you can shoot in catagory 2. i'll use my No.1 MK3 for catagory 2 and see if i can't punch some accurate holes at 100 yards with a M44 for catagory 1. if that don't work i'll borrow my cousins Krag and see what she'll produce!!

The K31 doesn't have a scope.   It's completely unmodified, so it'd be fine for group 1 (and from my last range trip it shot a 1.5" 5 shot group at 100 yards.  That's great for me w/ open sights :-)).  The Swede m96 is the one that's scoped.  I suppose that the M96 *would* be eligible for group 2 if I removed the scope, but it has no front sight blade, so it'd be a miracle if I could hit the paper at 100 yards   .

Swedish Mauser front sight blades
« Reply #7 on: April 09, 2004, 04:38:47 AM »
MGMorgan: Swedish Mauser front sight blades in different heights are available from SARCO for next to nothing.  I bought up a buch and have used them to replace the front sight blades on a couple of non-Swedish mausers that short close to a foot high at 100 yds.  They all have the same base dimentions and easily replace the originals.  Mikey.
