Martini Cadet Postal match
Are you interested in shooting your Cadet in an Internet postal match? I am going to be conducting a match from April 1 through September 30.
The purpose of the match is to get these classic old guns out of the closet and back shooting in typical old historical "Tinhat Matches.
There will be two separate matches; one prone and one standing match.
The matches are for Cadet rifles only meeting the following description.
Rifle Cadet Military training Martini type action miniature rifle with original battle sights, including Greener or Bonehill converted Martini-Henry with Service sights, or Martini-Henry with service sights and subcaliber insert.
Caliber .310" Cadet or .297/.230" or similar miniature caliber center-fire rifle original chambering, including .22 rimfires.
Rotten bore/obsolete ammunition rule. Rifles may be rechambered to remove a rotten chamber or to compensate for obsolete ammunition or relined to remove a rotten bore.
If rechambered due to rotten chamber or obsolete ammunition i.e. .310 to 32-20. 297/230 to .22 Hornet or K-Hornet, the original bore must be used. The firing pin may be bushed for the higher-pressure ammunition. No other alterations may be made to the rifle of any type. Historically altered rifles excepted. (Bonehill, NRA etc.)
If relined due to rotten bore the rifle must be rechambered in the original historically correct caliber. i.e. .297/230 Morris that has been rechambered to .22 Hornet, If relined then it must be rechambered back to .297/230 Morris.
There will be an entry fee to cover cost of targets, envelopes and postage. Entry fee for each match is $5 USD. To shot both Matches will cost $10 USD.
