Originally made by Diana (Diana currently makes the line for RWS).  This would be a model 23 (Winchester offered several Diana models and simply put a #4 in front of the Diana model# and had their name stamped on it).  Circa 1970's.

The Winchester model 423 is a rebadged Diana model 23.
The date of manufacture should be stamped on the left side of the spring tube, toward the rear, above the trigger. The were sold only for a couple years in the early 1970s, about 73 or 74.
