Question about springs...

Unless you're very experienced, I cant really think of a way to tell you how to tell the difference between factory, and after market springs.

I can tell you though for a fact that after market springs can, and definately will give you a better trigger pull if you're trying for that.

Question about springs...

From my experience with a spring kit I once had for a SRH  , if you change the trigger spring to the lightest in the Wolf Kit the SA pull will get very nice and the DA pull will be so-so.  Changing the Hammer Spring also will make the DA pull much better, but can lead to misfires.  I first changed both springs in mine but had misfires so I used the lightest trigger spring in the kit and left the factory hammer spring in the gun since I always shot it SA anyway.  My SRH had a very nice trigger from the factory anyway and did not need much help.

To get an idea about the springs in the gun now, take them out and try squezzing it and and the heavest springs in the Wolf kit, the factory springs should be noticably heavier.
