Anschutz Exemplar 22 Hornet
« on: November 29, 2002, 09:13:28 AM »
Looking for info on the above pistol. It  is has about a 10" barrel/redfield 2-6 scope and harris bipod, it is clip fed.  Caliber is 22 hornet.  Bolt is on the left side but appears to be a righthand stock. In like new condition.

Looking for value and if these are good shooters?  Thinking of picking up to punch paper and maybe some chuck hunting under 150yds with Jacketed bullets.

Guy wants $700 for it as it sits.  No manaual or box.

Thanks..

Anschutz still makes the Exemplar (model 64P and 64P Magnum) in 22 LR and 22 Mag I think. The hornets shoot better than most rifles chambered for the caliber. If the one you found is in good condition, I'd jump on it.
Perception is everything. For instance, a crowded elevator smells different to a midget.

I have one in .22 LR-- put a Leoup scope on it. Use it to hunt squirrels in the early season when the leaves are still on. It shoots better than I could ever think about shooting. If I can get the right rest. Look OUt!!  :-D  Thought about selling it as a unit-- ,but would not give it away.  :-) The extra 10 round clips, 5 in all run about 35.00 or so each.   :D
