Romainian 8mm surpluse ammo info

Hi guys, i'm new to this board. Would like to know if the romainian 8mm stuff is corrosive,acurate it was manufactured in 1970 and i will be shooting it out of my K98 thans.

it depends on the lot if it is accurate or not. I used a Romanian issued
VZ 24 and shot 2-3" groups with open sights with ammo from one crate, while ammo from a different crate grouped only 7". All of it is corrosive. No big deal. Just use windex or ammonia to clean the bore after shooting (on a hot barrel is even better, takes away copper fouling too).

At last check, there is no surplus 8mm ball ammo that is not corrosive.  To believe otherwise is foolhardy.

There was some from FNM of Portugal that was
non-corrosive. Also some of the very last Greek
surplus was non-corrosive.  That was the only ones
I have found.
Corrosive ammo is no problem with just a little after shooting
care of your weapon.
